April Luncheon and Lifestyle Changes

Delta Pi Delta Alumnae Chapter members met for their April 14 luncheon at Tarpon Cove Yacht Club in Naples, Florida. Marge Belaney was our hostess. The speaker was Betsy Opyt, an Alpha Chi sister who was a member of Gamma Mu Chapter at Ball State University in Indiana. Betsy is a Registered Dietician, Personal Trainer and Certified Diabetes Educator. Betsy got her degree in dietetics at Ball State and has been a life-long athlete, as well as an aerobics instructor and personal trainer. Her education and experience qualify her as an expert on how food and fitness contribute to wellness. In her presentation, Betsy described foods that promote heart, brain, joint, bone and skin health. She also gave us some very practical and useful tips for beneficial lifestyle changes.
