On March 5, 2022,  members of Delta Pi Delta Alumnae Chapter of Alpha Chi Omega met at Bonita Bay Country Club in Bonita Springs, Florida, for their annual fashion show/fundraiser. On this day, members are encouraged to bring their friends to share the luncheon and enjoy the fashion show afterwards. Many guests accompanied their Alpha Chi friends for shopping and lunch. Our returning Fashion Consultant, Janet A. Carr of Sarasota, Florida, brought with her a huge collection of clothes and jewelry from her traveling boutique, “Accessories and More.” Members were able to look through the items, try them on and buy them as well, with 10% of sales going to our chapter. After lunch, Janet presented a fashion show, with both our own members and students from Kappa Chi, the Alpha Chi Chapter at Florida Gulf Coast University, modeling the fashions. In addition to the student models, our chapter invited 8 additional Kappa Chis to join us for the lunch and show.

The last order of the day was to draw a raffle ticket for the lucky winner of the 50/50 raffle, which amounted to nine hundred + dollars. All in all, it was a very good day for our fundraising. The funds we raise go to support our philanthropies, which are the shelters for abused women in Collier, Charlotte and Lee Counties, the collegians at the Alpha Chi Chapter at Florida Gulf Coast University and the Alpha Chi Omega Foundation, whose mission is to educate and empower women.
