Annual Fashion Show/Fundraiser at Kensington Country Club

On February 8, 2020, members of Delta Pi Delta Alumnae Chapter of Alpha Chi Omega  met at Kensington Country Club in Naples, Florida, for their annual fashion show/fundraiser. On this day, members are encouraged to bring their friends to play cards and other games, as well as to share the luncheon and enjoy the fashion show afterwards. Many guests accompanied their Alpha Chi friends for the games, and even more arrived in time for lunch.

Returning for the fourth year, Fashion Consultant Janet A. Carr brought with her a huge collection of clothes and jewelry from her traveling boutique, “Accessories and More.” Members were able to look through the items, try them on and buy them as well, with 10% of sales going to our chapter. Alpha Chis had been encouraged to bring guests to this amazing shopping spree. After lunch, Janet presented a fashion show, with our own members modeling the fashions.

The last order of the day was to draw the raffle tickets and award prizes to the lucky winners. There were a number of  great items that were donated for the raffle, for which members bought tickets as part of our fundraising efforts.  The gift baskets and orchids were favorite raffle items. Our fundraising goes to support our philanthropies, which are the shelters for abused women in Collier, Charlotte and Lee Counties, the collegians at the new Alpha Chi Chapter at Florida Gulf Coast University, and the Alpha Chi Omega Foundation, whose mission is to educate and empower women.
